“Healthcare should be delivered by competent, knowledgeable individuals to ensure the best possible experience for the recipient of that care. Nursing is a fabulous profession – the backbone of the healthcare system. It is the knowledge and skill of the individual Nurse that will have the greatest influence on the happiness and health outcomes of each and every client.”
Is this part of my Continuing Professional Development (CPD)?
Yes, it is!
Under the code of conduct in Domain 7: Promote Health and Wellbeing, the value statement that we, as Nurses and Midwives are required to abide by is:
“Nurses and Midwives promote health and wellbeing for people and their families, colleagues, the broader community and themselves in a way that addresses health inequality.”
This means that the information and education provided at this retreat is perfect to meet your obligations under this domain and thus claimable as a CPD activity.
The education content provided in this program meets the same exacting standards as anything offered in an Australian land-based program.
No matter what Conference you attend, you always need accommodation. A cruise ship provides a fantastic all-inclusive accommodation option to enhance your Conference experience.
The Nurses for Nurses Network combines excellent education with fabulous travel adventures. We have taken a holistic approach to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to ensure you get the most out of your education-travel experience.
In the spirit of adult learning, the Conference is delivered in two formats. The live presentations are delivered in the Conference Room, and there is the online library which is open prior to the actual Conference dates. The library is an essential component of the entire Conference program.
The library consists of Conference material supplied by the Presenter/s which can include any of the following:
- Research documents
- Links to external information
- Recorded Conference presentations
- Electronic Notepads
The research documents and recorded Conference presentations form part of the Continuing Professional Development activities but are delivered to you before the commencement date so you can start your Conference Program early. If you choose not to undertake these activities before, there is a two-week window after the Conference where the library remains open to you. You can also undertake the library activities during the actual Conference.

Sue presented the course well, showing she had a deal of knowledge in this area. She included personal antidotes in her presentation. She was easy to listen to and I gained a great deal from the presentation.
I found both presenters [Anne & Sue] very open to interactive learning. I would be keen to attend further seminars held by both fabulous teachers!
It was absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed the presenter and the manner in which she presented the content. I would really recommend it to everyone. And oh yes a great holiday for the family to while we learnt.
