Synopsis

Lower leg ulcers are one of the most common chronic wounds. They are challenging to heal and are complex due to their underlying pathology.

The very nature of these wounds can result in prolonged healing times and impact on an individual’s quality of life.

Do you know the difference between an arterial and venous leg ulcer? How do you manage an ulcer with mixed aetiology? What about atypical leg ulcers?

This workshop will provide an overview of different types of leg ulcers and precedes workshops to follow that will look at them in more detail.

We will explore the wound presentations, best practice and clinical management.

Aged Care Fundamentals | Gold Coast 2022

Louise is not only amazing, engaging and captivating speakers but her knowledge is extensive, relevant and up to date. What a privilege to have met her. Having the medical reps present their products, some having fun with interactive games, and then answer questions was unique and relevant, I hope this will be an ongoing format.
