what this Event is about

Lower leg ulcers are one of the most common chronic wounds. They are challenging to heal and are complex due to their underlying pathology. The very nature of these wounds can result in prolonged healing times and impact on an individual’s quality of life. Do you know the difference between an arterial and venous leg ulcer? How do you manage an ulcer with mixed aetiology? What about atypical leg ulcers?

This workshop will provide an overview of different types of leg ulcers and precedes workshops to follow that will look at them in more detail. We will explore the wound presentations, best practice and clinical management.

“Thanks Louise your humour was so good to listen too, makes this topic really enjoyable seeing how you enjoy wounds so much – thank you”
– Tracy, Aged Care Fundamentals, Gold Coast
